BluSup took another good step forward today.

We added a new common events insert system inside the BluSup family, and BluOxi got to be the first real test. The event is Scrapin the Coast, here in Biloxi, and the insert gives me a clean way to feature something happening right now without turning the whole site upside down.

That makes me happy, because this is exactly what BluSup is supposed to become: not just one website, but a shared local platform where good common code can serve every site in the family. Build it once, polish it, then let BluOxi, SeaBlu, TrikeBlu, and the others use it in their own way.

The images are still temporary generated artwork for now. My image limit has been giving us a little grief, but that is just part of working with new tools. Once that limit gets bumped up, we can do better. And honestly, temporary art is fine for the moment, because the real plan is better anyway.

This Friday, I’m planning to ride my Lectric trike over to the Scrapin the Coast setup day. It is not the full interior show, so I should be able to get a lot of great outside shots without having to pay an entrance fee. That sounds perfect to me: sunshine, old cars, Biloxi, my camera, and the trike.

If all goes well, I’ll come back with real Jim photos and we can replace the preview artwork with the real thing. That will make the insert feel alive.

We also cleaned up another important piece today: the common footer code inside the sites. That might sound small, but it matters. Every site needs to feel like it belongs to the same BluSup family. A consistent footer gives each local site its own name, its own back-to-top link, a parent link back to BluSup, and proper copyright. That is the kind of quiet, standardized code that makes the whole system stronger.

So today was not just about one event. It was about the BluSup platform getting more reusable, more organized, and more real.
