I’ve been working on something I’m genuinely proud of, and today it is ready to be seen.
BluSup 250 is a local guide to America’s 250th birthday celebrations across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I built it to bring the events together in one clean, easy-to-use place so people can quickly see what is happening, where it is happening, and how to learn more.
The guide includes celebrations, fireworks, concerts, history events, community gatherings, and other special activities connected to America’s 250th birthday.
Each event has its own page with a large event image, event details, source information, sharing tools, and a full-screen image viewer that works on both computers and phones.
Using it is simple:
Open the guide, browse the event cards, and click any event that interests you. From there, you can read the details, view the event image full screen, visit the original source, or share the event with someone else.
This project feels especially meaningful to me because it is local. I live here, I love the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and I wanted to build something useful that helps people discover what our communities are planning for this historic celebration.
I’ve tested it on my laptop and phone, driven it hard, fixed the rough edges, and I believe it is ready.
Take a look, explore the events, and please share it with anyone who might enjoy it.
