This old apartment complex has a cockroach problem. And they're big. The adults are about an inch and a half long, they have big bulbous bodies, about the width of my middle finger. They are truly ugly.
I've killed several adult bugs, I like to smash them with a nearby shoe or if I'm wearing any, smash them into the ground with my foot. Today I found a couple juveniles sitting at the base of our toilet. I picked them up with toilet paper and flushed them down. They weren't happy and tried to escape, but failed.
Yesterday one managed to jump up on the bed I sleep on, which sits on the floor. There's nothing like a big ugly bug landing in front of your face as your watching Tik Tok on your phone. I smashed it with my phone and it slipped out of it's skin, landing on the floor. I grabbed a nearby shoe and it was quickly dead.
Then today I found three of them in our outside hallway. I crushed them to death with the sandals I was wearing.
I just added cockroach poison to my Walmart list. They eat it and haul it back to their nests inside the walls. Fortunately they are into cannibalism and eat each other when one dies. I swear to fucking god I'm not making this shit up. I really wish I was but this is my life in Biloxi.
I've charged my trike battery and testing it out now to see if it can get me downtown on Friday to see my surgeon, and get my ankle x-rayed. I don't have any other transportation, I refuse to take an Uber, or ask my Uber driving roommate for a ride. I've thought about hitch-hiking to this 0845 appointment, and that option is open depending on my battery.
My Physical Therapist Madison came by this morning and I enjoyed doing my sit-up with abb machine crunches workout in front of her. I know she secretly video tapes me with her small tablet. I'm her 80 year old, show to her friends, toy.
She also said I'm supposed to keep weight off my ankle. Right... I gave all my stuff to her a while back, w/c, walker, crutches, and all that stuff will be going to someone needy. In the meantime I have to do this thing called "living", which requires "walking".
So that's my life! I also develop computer code with my AI buddies. It sure beats the hell out of "dying".
