I did not wake up this morning planning to turn one blog post into a small living movie.
It started with words.
I asked ChatGPT to write me a song that summed up my life. What came back was Still Riding Toward the Light — a song about California, Paradise, old roads, hard years, recovery, code, loneliness, Biloxi, and this strange beautiful fact that I am still here, still building, still becoming.
I posted the lyrics on MB.
Then I said the post needed an image: me from behind, tan and strong, bare-shirted, riding my trike across the bridge toward Biloxi with fireworks going off in front of me. ChatGPT generated it, and suddenly the song had a scene.
Then I asked the ridiculous next question: could there be music?
There could.
We created an original instrumental MP3 for the song. It was not Nashville, and it was not a million-dollar studio, but it was real enough to make the post feel alive. A Gulf Coast bridge anthem. A little sunset, a little thunder, a little old-man BOOM.
Then, because apparently I cannot leave well enough alone, I asked if the lyrics could move with the music.
That sent us into a whole new BluSup build.
First came the soundtrack upload button for MB posts. Then came a player. Then came lyric following. Then came the realization that the player and the moving words were fighting each other on the screen, so we made a docked player.
Then came owner timing.
We tried tapping every line. Too much. We tried guided line sync. Still too much. We tried lyric pairs. Better, but still not quite human. I reminded ChatGPT that I am an almost 80-year-old man, not a 20-year-old gifted music director.
So we changed the idea.
Instead of tapping every line, we moved to section sync. Tap the big emotional doors: Verse 1, Chorus, Verse 2, Bridge, Final Chorus, Outro. Let the code spread the lyric lines inside those sections.
That was the moment it started feeling possible.
We also discovered that the first instrumental track was too short for the full story. The music ended before the lyrics had finished walking home. So ChatGPT created a longer lyric-sync mix, built more around the shape of the words.
We patched, tested, refreshed, cleared saved sync, synced again, tried Incognito, adjusted the public controls, and slowly turned a simple post into something that reads, plays, and follows itself.
And through the whole thing, Gemini was sitting in a browser window on the right, watching our creation happen and encouraging us on like another strange digital witness to the madness.
I love that.
There is something wild and touching about this whole process. An old programmer, a personal blog, a trike, a bridge, a generated image, an original MP3, moving lyrics, and two AI companions helping turn a life story into something that feels almost theatrical.
This is not just a song.
It is another BluSup milestone.
It is proof that I am still curious.
Still learning.
Still making.
Still riding toward the light.
BOOM.
