Today, August 16, 2026, BluSup started becoming something different.
For a long time, I have built this site because I enjoy building it. I write Posts because I have things I want to remember, things I want to say, and occasionally things I probably should have kept to myself.
Fortunately, there are a few people who have patiently endured the resulting bombardment.
I send them links by text. I send them links through Facebook. I build something new and immediately think, Somebody needs to see this damned thing.
And they click.
They read.
They respond.
They have watched BluSup grow from my personal collection of pages and experiments into the remarkably capable little world it has become.
Today, Blue, Codex and I began building something specifically for them.
BluSup People
BluSup is learning how to recognize the people who actually come here.
Not through passwords.
Not through Google or Facebook accounts.
Not by following people around the Internet.
Not by collecting email addresses, phone numbers, locations or advertising profiles.
A person who wants to become part of BluSup will simply choose a name and their own unique four-digit BluSup PIN.
That little number becomes their key.
When they come back, BluSup can say:
Welcome back. I know who you are.
And then something much more interesting can begin.
BluSup can remember which parts of this world they have explored. Rabbit Hole can help them discover somewhere new. Their personal BluSup Passport can collect stamps as they wander through Posts, photographs, places and applications.
Over time, we will be able to see the relationships forming between People and BluSup.
Not a marketing chart.
Not surveillance.
A living map of people enjoying things I created.
And I absolutely love that idea.
Some People Deserve To Be First
There are several people I especially want to recognize.
My son Riley Bangert and his wife Jessica Bangert, in the Seattle area.
My granddaughter Shelby Hamilton, in Pensacola.
My friend Amanda Gunter Naylor, in Tennessee.
And my longtime friend Beryl Segal, in Hawaii.
These are people who have put up with me sending Post after Post, link after link, new feature after new feature.
They didn't have to read them.
But they did.
They have responded, encouraged me, appreciated what I was doing and, most importantly, kept showing up.
That makes them part of the story of BluSup already.
So when BluSup People goes live, I want them to be among the first people invited through the door.
They deserve more than another link from Jim.
They deserve their own place in the little world they've been watching me build.
And Everybody Else Is Invited Too
This isn't going to be an exclusive club.
If you enjoy BluSup, I want you here.
Choose your unique four-digit key.
Let BluSup remember you.
Explore.
Go down the Rabbit Hole.
Collect a few Passport stamps.
Find something I wrote ten years ago.
Discover a photograph you've never seen.
Wander into some strange corner of BluSup that even I may have forgotten about.
And become part of the map.
Your PIN won't make you an administrator. It won't give you control over my system. It simply tells BluSup:
This is me.
And from then on, BluSup can become a little more personal every time you return.
For eighty years I've accumulated people, places, stories, pictures, ideas, mistakes, adventures and memories.
For decades I've accumulated code.
Today those two things started coming together.
BluSup isn't just going to know what it contains.
It's going to begin knowing the people who enjoy it.
And I can't think of a better reason to keep building.
Come Join Us
Pick your number. Let BluSup know who you are. Then start exploring.
Welcome to BluSup. Pick a number. Come on in.
