I may be some things, and there's a lot of things I'm not. I have an alcohol addiction, that I currently have control of. I don't have a gambling addiction, or a drug addiction, or a sex addiction. I don't lie and I don't steal. I don't commit any crimes actually. I think the last time I broke the law was walking home drunk from a downtown Tennessee bar. Public intoxication.
This doesn't mean that I'm a good man. Far fucking from it. I've done some really bad things, just not illegal. I suffer from a great deal of regret as a result.
And I don't know what to do about that.
So I do nothing. I survive from day to day, I stay sober, I exercise, I develop computer code without writing it. I have no life. But I'm still alive at eighty years old.
I guess that means something.
