It's been an interesting Friday. I caught an Uber to the skin doctor this morning, thinking he was just going to brush off the red rough spots below my left eye, that have been there for a couple months, as just old man concerns.
As I waited in a big medical chair to see what the doctor was going to be like, the sound system blaring from a nearby radio looking device sitting on the counter across from me was really obnoxious. Playing sappy old songs I just didn't want to hear. Each one reminded me of a different lost love so I got out of the chair and unplugged it from the wall. When the doctor came in with his nurse I confessed, and they thanked me.
Then he looked at my face and started cutting on me. Instead of a friendly you're fine and a polite brush out the door, he wanted to do a biopsy. Maybe it's just how they make their money. In any event I now have a couple of bleeding holes on my face and I guess I better cut back my dating sex for a while.
What's even worse, if within two weeks they come back cancerous, he needs to operate! Gee, I haven't been operated on for ages, sounds like fun. And on my beautiful bearded eighty year old face!
I asked the staff if they could recommend somewhere nearby to eat before I Ubered home and they mentioned the place I was going to try and eat at this morning was great, and really close. So I thought what the hell and took off walking.
I made it out the driveway before calling for an Uber home. It is now months since I've eaten out. Yea I could Uber there, eat, then go home, but excuse me...
