I had a really strange thing happen to me last night.
It was a normal evening. I had just done an average workout with my ab device and was getting ready for my usual 2000 shutdown when suddenly I felt a weight on my chest.
I don't have things like that happen to me. I'm healthy, sober, and my body is in good shape. Especially for being eighty years old.
I stood there in my little bedroom in an old apartment complex in Biloxi, Mississippi, and said to myself:
"What the fuck is this?"
It was very unusual. My heart has always been healthy, and I didn't know what to do.
I thought about taking an Uber to the hospital and getting myself checked out.
That thought didn't last long. I've had more than enough hospital lately.
Then another thought crossed my mind.
"What if I die?"
At that point, all I could do was text my son Riley and my granddaughter Shelby and tell them both:
"I love you."
They must have wondered what was going on, but they politely returned the love.
Then I just laid down and thought, if this is it, I'm ready.
The heaviness eventually went away, and I slept well.
I feel fine this morning, and I'm ready to have another glad-to-be-alive day.
I'm sure there are some doomsayers out there who will say I should get this checked out immediately.
And I know when I turn this Post over to my AI for editing, I'm going to get my medical asshole reamed.
I don't know what it was.
I know it went away.
I know I woke up this morning feeling good.
And I know that for a few minutes last night, I stopped everything, told my son and granddaughter that I loved them, and wondered if maybe this was it.
It wasn't.
I'm still here.
So we'll just call this Post Heavy.
