Walmart gave me six big fresh chicken breasts today.
I didn’t order them, and when they showed up at the door with my delivery, I tried to give them back.
They told me to keep them and enjoy them.
So I called a local food bank. I figured somebody could use six big chicken breasts more than I could.
Closed for the weekend.
Then I saw a young girl across the street and walked over to ask if she could check with her mom and see if they wanted the chicken.
Doing that was a lot like trying to hitchhike in this town.
Kids don’t talk to strangers anymore, even if the stranger is the old guy across the way they’ve been seeing for a couple of months.
So I gave up on being charitable and asked AI the best way to cook them.
Now I’ve got five freezing and one ready to go with my fried eggs tomorrow.
They came out great.
So I’ve got free, tasty protein for a while.
