A New BluSup 250

Proud moment

When I first announced BluSup 250, I knew we had something special. What I did not yet realize was how much bigger, richer and more beautiful it was about to become.

Over the last couple of days, ChatGPT and I created a complete visual collection for the project: 35 individually designed, full-size images representing celebrations, concerts, historic sites, museums, volunteer projects, state parks, fireworks, family events and national America 250 programs.

This was not a simple matter of making a few patriotic pictures.

We researched the listings, matched every image to the correct event, untangled duplicate and incorrect filenames, rejected images that did not accurately represent their subjects, and rebuilt the collection one image at a time. Every final image now has a permanent name connected to its listing.

Some celebrate the Gulf Coast: Long Beach, Biloxi, Gulfport, Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, Waveland and Pass Christian.

Others reach across Mississippi and beyond: historic homes, museums, musical productions, state parks, community service projects, time capsules, national broadcasts and America’s Block Party in Los Angeles.

The completed master collection contains 35 full-size PNG images. We preserved those originals privately, created a consistently lightened production set, and then made optimized WebP versions for the website.

We also stopped to think seriously about ownership and copyright. The full public images now carry a discreet “© 2026 BluSup” mark. The archival PNG masters will remain private, while the website uses protected WebP copies.

Then we rebuilt the BluSup 250 site around them.

Every listing now opens into its own individual page with a permanent, shareable address. Each page includes the full event story, important details, public-source links, copyright language and a large image viewer with zooming, dragging, fitting and full-screen viewing.

That means BluSup 250 is no longer only one guide page.

It is now a collection of 35 individual stories—35 pages that can be shared with cities, event organizers, museums, tourism groups, news outlets and people across the country.

We tested the new pages, corrected the image sizing, repaired the styling and made the listing cards behave properly on the screen. The main guide and the individual pages are now working together beautifully.

This project started as my way of celebrating America’s 250th birthday here in the South. It has grown into something that feels genuinely newsworthy: a local Gulf Coast guide with a statewide reach and a national doorway.

I am proud of what we have made.

And I cannot wait to see where BluSup 250 goes from here.
