The Corona Radiata is the outer protective layer surrounding a woman's ovulated unfertilized egg. It is the last barrier, and when the strongest sperm breaks through, it hardens, and all the other sperm are locked out.
Their genetics combine and a new human life is formed. It happened to one of my sperm once, with a woman named Jenny Arcuri. It managed to swim it's way through all of the barriers Jenny's body naturally put up, break through the Corona Radiata, and become my daughter.
As she grew up, life events occurred that had me convinced it wasn't my sperm that broke through that wall. I was wrong, but not man enough to raise and love her anyway.
It was the biggest mistake of my life to walk away from her.
